Android 11 - launch date, review, features everything else you need to know



Android 11 is the upcoming eleventh release and the 18th version of the android mobile operating system. Alphabetical release names for major Android versions were discontinued as of Android; therefore it is now branded as "Android 11".

Google has delayed the launch of Android 11 Beta version as  US cities are currently under protests over the death of George Floyd in Minnesota. 
The company was about to showcase new features in Android 11 on June 3.

the new version of Android will first  make its way to Pixel phones. Other phones will likely be included as well. although the method of installing it hasn't been as seamless as Google's own.  
Here are some features of Android 11-

  • Native screen recording: Google is trying to add a built-in screen recorder to Android, and Android 11 pretty much confirms the feature will launch this year. 
  • Muting notifications during video: you can now mute the upcoming notifications during video recording.
  • Increase touch sensitivity: Those who use screen protectors will find this feature useful 
  • Notification History:  with Android 10’s Notification Log basically hidden for users.  The new feature looks like it will be pretty useful.
  • Auto revoke app permissions: Android 11 DP3 has introduced a new option to automatically revoke permissions such as camera, location, and more, from apps that haven’t been used for a while.
  • Undoing recently cleared apps: you can now also undo cleared app by quickly swiping down on the screen.
  • Ability to dismiss persistent app notifications: Iyou can quickly persistent notifications back if you swiped them away by accident.
  • Airplane mode doesn’t kill Bluetooth: In Android 11, Bluetooth satys on when airplane mode is activated.
  • Pixel Themes gets clock tweaks: In the Pixel theming section of Settings, you will likely be able customize.
  • New Motion Sense option for Pixel 4:In Android 11, the company is adding a new way to control your phone without touching it. In Android 11, you can tap air above the phone to make a pause
  • Facelock will require you to open your eyes: This might make unlocks less efficient, but it will certainly make your phone more secure.
  • App pinning in the share menu: Android used to let you pin your most frequently used apps to the share sheet, but that option was removed in Android 10.
  • Enhanced notification shade conversations: Not only will you be able to see more of the thread but you’ll also have richer ways to compose messages, including a way to send picture messages right from the notification.
  • Conversation bubbles: Google is going to push harder for this to be adopted by more developers and OEMs.
  • Context-aware dark mode:this is actually a feature OEMs such as Samsung have already integrated on their own, but now it will be baked right into Android.
  • Enhanced one-time permissions: You know how in Android 10 you can tell apps to grab your location, microphone, or camera data only while the app is open? Now you can off these permissions.
