BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo facelift - price, specs and launch date



BMW has launched the facelift of 6 series Gran Turismo (GT) in india, you get a new refreshed design, improved equipment levels and mechanical improvements. BMW is still offering both diesel and petrol engine options internationally. 



BMW has introduced a larger BMW ‘kidney’ grille , new front and rear bumpers with new headlights and taillights. The basic design however remains the same.


BMW is offering two petrol and three diesel engines. The petrol line-up consists of a 258hp/400Nm, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder unit in the 630i and a 333hp/450Nm, 3.0-litre, six-cylinder unit in the 640i. 

The diesel options include a 190hp/400Nm, 2.0-litre engine in the 620d, while a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder engine is available in the 630d (tuned to make 286hp and 650Nm of torque) and 640d (tuned to produce 340hp and 700Nm of torque).The company has introduced an engines with a 48V mild-hybrid system to electrify its entire range. This system will improve fuel efficiency and will increase  11hp to the engine. 



You get some new features in interior too, a 12.3-inch infotainment system with BMW’s latest software and a new digital instrument cluster, Other features include a four-zone automatic climate control system, electrically adjustable rear seats (optional), a panoramic sunroof, a premium Bowers & Wilkins audio system and more. 




The 6 Series GT will launch in three variants in India,  a 258hp, 2.0-litre petrol in the 630i; a 190hp, 2.0-litre diesel in the 620d; and a 265hp, 3.0-litre diesel in the 630d. Its price ranges from Rs 64.90 lakh to 75.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
