Swiggy is delivering alcohol in Some cities, after taking required permission from the government, Swiggy is also in talks with multiple state governments for the same.This new category will appear when the user updates the app.
Customers will required to show an OTP to the delivery guy via the app, order will be given to the person whom the account belongs too. there will be a cap on the order quantity, to ensure that a customer is not able to get alcohol above the prescribed limit as per the state law.
Alcohol will be made available from authorized retailers,It will measures some important actions like mandatory age verification and user authentication to complete deliveries. Age verification can be completed by uploading a scanned government ID and taking a selfie on the app.
