The launch of 3 series LWB will fill the gap between 5 Series Sedan and BMW 3 Series.
BMW comes with a blow of very smart move by expecting to launch its long wheelbase 3 series in India. The company is expecting to hit the showroom by mid 2021. Expected to hit showrooms by mid-2021. This series has built with more comfort and it will be the only which have long wheelbase in its class.There is humongous chance that it will shake up the market. This will come as a replacement to the long wheelbase 3 GT . Now BMW India is all set to fill the void by launching 3 Series LWB.
Now the is a little uncertainty that long wheelbase formula wiil be work in India. There are Limousines such as Mercedes S-class,BMW 7 Series and Audi A 8 are already sold in India as long wheelbase.The Merc's long wheelbase of E class has already grabbed the lion's market and go lower still. There are cars like Skoda's Superb are also built on long wheelbase.
India will be the first market for the right hand drive LWB 3 Series.
Now come to the specs of this car, this car has got streched wheelbase of this 3 Series at 2,961mm and also 100 mm longer as compared to 3 GT which has wheelbase of 2,920 mm.
The size of the BMW 3 Series in length is 4709mm4829mm4824mm, widht is 1827mm1827mm1828mm and height is 1435mm1463mm1508mm and wheelbase is 2851mm2961mm2920mm.
BMW is also planning to make it more spacious for passenger access.The passenger who sat at the back seat will get 43mm extra legroom for their comfort.This car car has also come with mood lighting and panoramic sunroof. It is also comes with improved and comfortable cushioning for comfortness of the passenger.
