The Government of india has developed a mobile application to connect essential health services with the people of India in our combined fight against COVID-19. Arogya setu app aimed to full fill the initiatives of the Government of India,specially the Department of health,through the app government can get health related date of any individual.
the Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday (May 17) had made it compulsory for several categories of people to download the app which has been designed to restrict the spread of coronavirus COVID-19. In its Lockdown 2.0 guidelines, the Ministery of home affairs had said "use of Aarogya Setu app shall be mandatory for all employees, both private and public. It should be the responsibility of the head of the particular organisation to ensure 100 per cent coverage of the app among the employees".
A French hacker name Elliot Alderson had claimed few days ago that "a security issue has been found" in the app and that "privacy of 90 million Indians is at stake".
The government denied Alderson's claim saying Aarogya Setu is free from any data or security breach and "no personal information of any user has been proven to be at risk by this ethical hacker".
"We are regularly testing the systems. Team Aarogya Setu claims everyone that no data or security breach has been done,"
