USA riots may cause new COVID-19 cases?


There is  a Massive protests in the US over the death of George Floyd, a US expert said, ‘there is a causality between the Covid-19 outbreak and the ongoing riots’.

The  spread of Covid-19 has  forced Americans to keep social distancing and self-quarantine in recent months. while the spread of the virus isn’t stopping, Americans  are breaking social distancing protocols and gathering to show anger over the death of the African-American man by the police.

The mass gathering of people will surely increase the spread of Covid-19 in the US, many protesters braking social distancing and not even wearing masks during the protests.


When people sneeze, cough or speak loudly, the virus gets  transmitted through droplets in the air.

 The Minnesota state has reported 35 deaths on a single day.The USA has confirmed 18,850 new cases on Monday, reaching to 1.79 million  new coronavirus cases. The US has the highest number of coronavirus cases in the world.WHO epidemiologist Maria Van Kerkhove said ‘ close contact could increase the cases of COVID-19’.

Americans didn’t took COVID-19 seriously despite being advised by the government to stay in.


The mayor of Atlanta, Georgia, had a message for protesters : "If you were out protesting till late night, you probably need to have  a COVID test ."

In places like Los Angeles, protestors  vandalized CVS pharmacies, which provided nucleic test kits, and other nucleic test sites,according to report.

This sudden violence  by the protesters was partly a release of their suppressed emotions and anger, stored up during the COVID-19 quarantine and social distancing.
