For 2021 the Toyota Fortuner will get a new face.The redesigned LED headlights, a larger grille, new front bumper and a 18-inch alloy wheels. At the back addition of LED tail lights.
There will be a high end ‘Legender’ variant with a sportier persona, that will come with a split grille, a different style front bumper that will include LED turn indicators, dual LED projector headlights with a unique DRLs and 20-inch alloy wheels, Color schemes will be different too, you will get dual-tone paint.
facelift's interior will not have much changes in terms of design but one big difference is the additional larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered with Apple CarPlay compatibility, you will get some minute features like 8-way power-adjustable driver and co-driver's seats and wireless smartphone charging, also LED ambient lighting, a 9-speaker JBL audio system and a 360-degree camera.
The Legender variant will have larger 9.0-inch touchscreen, and 7 airbags and will also gets 'Toyota Safety Sense', which have collision prevention system, lane departure warning and radar-guided dynamic cruise control types of feature.
The Thailand version of Toyota Fortuner facelift gets a new engine, the 2.4 litre, four-cylinder diesel which makes 150hp and 400Nm, the 2.8 litre diesel engine option that comes in India, now has a big boost in power output. It makes 204hp , the current model makes 177hp.
Its still not clear whether India will get the upgraded diesel engine or not.Toyota had recently updated the engine to BS6-spec in India.
