Lockdown 5.0 will have strict noms for 13 cities, which account for about 70% of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases.
Ministry of Home Affairs Saturday said it will increase the lockdown till June 30. Releasing guidelines for Lockdown 5.0, the ministry said the restrictions at other places would be lifted in phases.
In phase first, worship places, hotels, restaurants, shopping complex and malls will be allowed to open.however, schools, colleges, and other educational institution will remain closed,they will resume in second phase.In third phase, opening of cinema halls, gymnasiums and resumption of international flights will take place, apart from activities like social/political/sports/entertainment/academic/cultural/ religious functions.
India has now become the ninth-worst COVID-19-hit country in the world, overtaking Turkey. The number of COVID-19 cases in India has climbed to 1,65,799 on Friday, registering an increase of 175 deaths and a record jump of 7,466 cases while the death toll rose to 4,706. Approx 42.89 per cent patients have been recovered ," the Health Ministry said.
