Hayabusa has been the most popular sports bike of all time, People who do not know much about sports bike also recognize this bike on sight. Before knowing about Hayabusa, let us know the meaning of its name.
Hayabusa (隼) is Japanese for "peregrine falcon", a bird that often known for its speed,due to its vertical hunting dive, or stoop, speed of 290 to 325 km/h (180 to 202 mph), the fastest of any bird.
The suzuki hayabusa(or Gsx 1300)is a sport bike made by Suzuki since 1999. Just after its launch it became the fastest bike title as the world's fastest production bike, with a top speed of 303 to 312 km/h (188 to 194 mph).
Suzuki is expected to unveil the next-generation Hayabusa by the end of 2020. Until then, we expect more such patents to be leaked and a few spy images.
The patent application shows an engine architecture similar to the current Hayabusa.certain elements defines the changes this powerplant will receive, majorly to comply with the new BS6 emission norms. it comprises of a carbon canister which absorbs the exhaust gases, lowering the harmful emissions. the displacement of 1,340cc of the outgoing model will go up by 100cc and the new model will pack a 1,440cc powerplant. The hike in the displacement is to keep the performance same or higher than the existing model.The patent application published in Japan 2018, clearly shows the design of an exhaust pipe incorporating catalytic converters into a resonator box under the engine.
